It’s that time again for my seasonal anime watchlist update.
2015 has been a hectic year in my work life and I literary lost quite a chunk of my free time to it. Luckily, the anime lineup for last year was very well distributed throughout the seasons and I was able to finish most of them. That’s my opinion by the way, because previously there are times where I have 10 series or more in my watchlist just for a season, then suddenly drops to less than 5 in another season.
Anyway, based on the seasonal anime list on MyAnimelist, here’s my quick watchlist:
Struggling manga author Satoru Fujinuma is beset by his fear to express himself. However, he has a supernatural ability of being forced to prevent deaths and catastrophes by being sent back in time before the incident occurred, repeating time until it is prevented. One day, he gets involved in an incident that has him framed as a murderer. Desperate to save the victim, he sends himself back in time only to find himself as a grade-schooler one month before fellow classmate Kayo Hinazuki went missing. Satoru now embarks on a new quest: to save Kayo and solve the mystery behind her disappearance.

It’s been quite some while since I last watched a mystery genre anime because I never really liked the moody story line. But still, I do watch some of those that could juggle around the mystery alongside with mind blowing plot twists.
Let’s hope this one could live up to the expectations it set in its PVs.
In the near future, spirits and monsters are in full sight. A boy leads a group of people with special abilities as they plot against a massive organization that takes advantage of a certain incident and eventually know the truth about their world in the process.

If you’re somehow active in the ACG community, I’m sure that you’ve come across this. Well, the controversial boobs limbo dance, anyone?
I knew that KyoAni, one day, they will bring us these stuff. After all those teasing in Amagami Brilliant Park.
So perhaps the reason why I’m still watching it is because I still a KyoAni fanboy deep in my heart.
Why are we here? Why are we doing this?
Before Haruhiro had realized what happened, he was surrounded by darkness. Why was he here? Where was here? Even now, he still didn’t know. Those around him were the same as him, no one remembered anything other than their own names. And when they emerged from the darkness, the world that awaited them seemed like something out of a video game.
In order to survive, Haruhiro forms a party with the others, learns fighting skills, and as a soldier in the reserve force, takes his first steps into the world of Grimgar. What awaits him there, he doesn’t know…
This the story of an adventure born from the ashes.

My honest answer for having this in my watchlist – the artwork style and watercolor alike coloring.

The first season was really good that my girlfriend and I enjoyed the series a lot. If you have not seen this series before, I strongly recommend you to check it out.
Ajin are humans that cannot die. Seventeen years ago, they first appeared on a battlefield in Africa. From then on, more of their kind are discovered within the human society. From the same studio as the Knights of Sidonia, and I couldn’t recognize it until I watch the PV. I guess Polygon studio finally realize their mistake of having everyone sharing the same facial structure.
Still, the short PV manage to capture my interest to watch the show with the brief introduction to the storyline.
