After the long first impression post on “Angel Beats!”, here is a shorter article on another title for 2010 Spring anime – “Kaichou wa Maid-sama! 会長はメイド様! (President is a Maid!)”. *ps: the President means the Student Council President.
The story of this romantic comedy centers on the Student Council President, Ayuzawa Misaki, who despises the mostly male, slovenly population at her school.
Yeah… da President…
However her secret of working at a maid cafe is discovered by her schoolmate, Usui Takumi. He’s cool, handsome, smart… (damn, I wish I have all those personalities..)
The first episode is about Misaki’s background and the discovering of her secret by Takumi. Other than that, the story is pretty much as expected from a Shoujo manga adaptation.
Meanwhile, for animation, I love such a cheerful and water color-like artwork.
I’m expecting more from this series. (yeah, I like romantic comedy anime.)
The story is much too rushed. Come on, like, after two days of knowing him outside of school, she says something about accepting him as her rival? What the hell? It just seems unrealistic to me. I can understand Usuis reasons and motives (at least I think I can) but Kaichou’s attitude towards Usui felt more than slightly out of place.
but other than that , i pretty much liked it.
before watching the anime…try to read its manga…and you’ll find out evrything
in the anime.,usui’s life is being stated…then….he revealed how he had an interest towards misaki(the president)…
Misaki thought him as a rival for usui got rank 1 during their exams without wasting any effort…while misaki is a poor, student…and has to work part time for financial support…and at the same time be a good president for she has to strive hard to invite more girls to enroll unto the seika high school..
therefore,,,,usui,,,keep it as his own secret to protect the reputation of misaki,,,,being a president while a maid of a latte…
ehhe…you’ll find it that usui is very protective towards misaki while misaki only thought that usui plays a perverted role and only teasing her…for his own pleasure..
Somehow reminds me a little bit of the Nogizaka Haruka idea. I might check it out for a couple episodes and see what I think.
Through her conversation with Usui when he’s rejecting a random girl’s confession, I thought she already know him for quite some time, but in the end it doesn’t…
he only knew usui,,,,,being known to girls….but his real background’s still a mystery for her…
on the other hand..if u’ll read the manga…it’s shown there that usui revealed his life,…Misaki will also meet usui’s brother…..
and u’ll find out that usui has the family name “walker”
