Spring is coming, this means new season of anime is coming too.
I’ll summarize a simple watchlist for the show that I’m gonna watch. This is not a list of my favourite show for the season or best of best. In fact, this is just a list of shows that I anticipated the most or to be simple, anime titles that I think suits my taste.
All information comes from AnimeNewsNetwork or MyAnimeList or Wikipedia except some images which come from other sources.

Angel Beats!
P.A. Works
http://www.angelbeats.jp/
Summary: In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. On the otherhand, Tenshi, the chairperson of the student council for the world after death, battles against the SSS members. SSS members utilize armed weaponry to battle it out against the angels harnessing supernatural powers.
This anime holds my highest hope for this season. The main reason is because of the story and music are written and composed by Key’s Maeda Jun. Yeah I’m both Key & Maeda Jun fanboy, Key & Maeda Jun are Godlike, combining both = Beyond Godlike.Something unusual is the production studio is not Kyoto Animation, hope everything will be alright. I’ll keep this series in track and blog about it (try my best…).
K-ON! Season 2
Kyoto Animation
http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/k-on/
Summary: Season two of MOE anime K-ON! (watch it first if you haven’t.)
The first season was so great that I can’t wait for the second season.
SD Gundam Sangokuden
Sunrise
http://www.sdgundam3gd.net/
The SD Gundam Sangokuden model series features the heroes of the Chinese literary classic Romance of the Three Kingdoms — only they have been re-imagined as two-head-high Super Deformed Gundam robots. Liu Bei (Ryū Bi) Gundam, Guan Yu (Kan U) Gundam, and Zhang Fei (Chō Hi) Gundam protect the legendary continent Mirisha from General Dong Zhuo (Tō Taku) Zaku, the assassin Hu Zhen (Ko Shin) Gyan, and other enemies.
I heard that the SD Gundam’s version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms is great. So I thought of giving this series a try…
Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan
Studio DEEN
(No website available yet)
Summary: The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru is the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo. The father leaves Edo to work as a volunteer doctor and moves to Kyoto without his daughter. As time passes by, Chizuru starts worrying about losing contact with her father, so she decides to go to Kyoto in search of him. On the way, Chizuru is attacked by few criminals and witnesses a fight between an oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody and saving her, the Shinsengumi debate on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. So they decide to become Chizuru’s protectors and help her look for her father(the doctor). Lots of events happen while she stays with the Shingensumi, as they discover mysterious secrets and also fight against the Bakumatsu group. The story is overall romantic with a historical and political background.
I personally likes anime about history… If this series has bloody sword fights, then YES!!!
Senko no Night Raid
A-1 Pictures
http://www.1931.tv/
Summary: The story is set in Shanghai in 1931, when the Imperial Japanese Army has been dispatched to mainland China due to the relatively recent First Sino-Japanese War, Russo-Japanese War, and World War I. In this cosmopolitan city of intrigue, there is a special military spy organization called “Sakurai Kikan” that has since been buried in history.
China-Japan… What a sensitive topic… Nevertheless, there’s certainly included some twisted history…
Working!
A-1 Pictures
http://www.wagnaria.com/
Summary: Set in a family restaurant in Hokkaido, the northern prefecture of Japan, 16 year old high school student Takanashi Souta works part-time along with his strange co-workers: Taneshima Popura, a high school girl who’s a year older than Souta who’s easily mistaken for a elementary/middle schooler, and Shirafuji Kyoko, the 28-year old store manager who doesn’t bother to do any work at all.
Looks like a very relaxing slice-of-life anime… Give it a whirl whether it’s meaningful or not… might just be perfect for casual watching.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
J.C.STAFF
http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/maidsama/
Summary:The romantic comedy centres on the student council head named Misaki Ayuzawa who despises the mostly male, slovenly population at her school, which was once an all-boys school. However, Misaki’s most handsome schoolmate just discovered her secret — that she works after school at a maid café.
Shoujo anime is ok too…
B Gata H Kei
Hal Film Maker
http://www.bgata-hkei.com/

AIC
http://www.patisserie-straycats.com/
Summary: The story revolves around Takumi Tsuzuki, a boy who lives with his older “sister” Otome, although the two have no blood ties between them. Otome manages a run-down confectionery store called Stray Cats. One day, Otome picks up a mysterious beautiful girl off the streets.
Another cat related anime… would drop it if the series start to go unreasonable…
Kiss X Sis
Feel.
http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/kiss_sis/
Summary: Keita has two older step-sisters, Ako and Riko, but since they aren’t related by blood, they love him in a lustful way. Incest? LOL!!! Whose fantasy is this…
This concludes my watchlist for Spring season 2010. However, this doesn’t mean that I’m just going to watch these series only… I might add or drop any series depends on other people’s review. How about yours?
Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan looks pretty good, everything else seems, “alright”
